Incentives for employers

Regular incentives:

Compensation in the amount of paid contributions for basic health insurance and employment contributions – An employer who employs a person with a disability is assigned a financial incentive for that person in the amount of paid contributions for basic health insurance and employment contributions. The amount of these contributions is determined according to the calculated and paid contribution in accordance with the regulations for compulsory insurance.

Reduction of the difference due to reduced performance – the employer when employing a person with a disability, who due to his disability can not perform the quantitative scope of work as a healthy worker, is entitled to compensation for that person due to reduced work performance. The volume of work is determined according to the average capabilities of healthy workers. The employer is reimbursed the percentage of salary that corresponds to the percentage of the unattainable norm. For reduced work performance, a contract is concluded on the basis of which compensation is paid.

Co-financing the costs of a personal assistant – work assistant – the employer has the right to co-finance part of the costs of another person who temporarily or permanently helps a person with disabilities to perform certain activities that due to the degree of disability can not perform independently.

The employer is co-financed the costs of a personal assistant according to the actual working hours, but up to 50% of the lowest monthly base for the calculation of contributions for compulsory insurance determined by order of the Minister of Finance. To co-finance the costs of a personal assistant, a contract is concluded on the basis of which the fee is paid.

Special incentives

One-off material benefits – education of persons with disabilities – the right to one-off material benefits includes education of employed persons with disabilities and education of unemployed persons with disabilities.

Education of employees with disabilities – an employer who refers an employee with disabilities to education, or conducts education himself, is entitled to 60% of the amount of education costs. Education may last for a maximum of 6 months, and exceptionally up to 12 months with the prior approval of the Fund on the basis of a reasoned request. The employer has the right to use this measure once per employee. Exceptionally, the employer may re-use this measure for the same employee, if the need arises due to the nature of the job and the introduction of new technologies.

Education of unemployed persons with disabilities for the purpose of employment – an employer who sends an unemployed person with disabilities to education in the course of preparation for employment is entitled to 60% of the costs of education. Education may last for a maximum of 6 months, and exceptionally up to 12 months with the prior approval of the Fund on the basis of a reasoned request. The employer has the right to use this measure once per employee. The employer is obliged to conclude an employment contract for an indefinite period of time with a person with a disability within 60 days of completing the education.

Funds for workplace adaptation – architectural adaptation – an employer who employs a person with a disability, who due to the type and severity of the disability needs to adapt the workplace in terms of removing architectural barriers, is entitled to reimbursement of workplace adaptation costs for that person. it is reimbursed in the amount of the actual costs of adjustment. The employer submits a written request to the Fund for reimbursement of the costs of job adjustment.

Means for adjusting working conditions – technical adjustment – an employer who employs a person with a disability, who due to the type and severity of the disability needs to adjust the workplace in terms of technical adjustment of the workplace, is entitled to reimbursement of costs of adjusting working conditions for that person. A self-employed person is also entitled to reimbursement of job adjustment costs. The cost of the adjustment is reimbursed in the amount of the actual cost of the adjustment. The employer submits a written request to the Fund for reimbursement of the costs of adjusting the working conditions.

Loans on more favourable terms intended for the purchase of machinery, equipment, tools or accessories needed to employ a person with disabilities – an employer who is a beneficiary of a special purpose loan for the purchase of machinery, equipment, tools or accessories needed to employ a person with disabilities is entitled to interest subsidies % of the agreed interest rate in accordance with the loan agreement with the bank. Interest subsidies last until the loan is repaid, provided that the purchased item is used by a person with a disability. The employer submits a written request for interest subsidy to the Fund for the approved loan.

Co-financing the costs of an occupational therapist – When employing a person with a disability, the employer has the right to co-finance part of the costs of another person who helps to master the work process (occupational therapist) for a person with a disability, for a period of 4 months. The employer is co-financed the costs of the occupational therapist according to the actual time spent. In order to co-finance the costs of an occupational therapist, a contract is concluded on the basis of which compensation is paid.
