A set of training for vulnerable groups begins

As part of the project “Development and support for the development of sustainable employment models for vulnerable groups in the urban area of ​​Pula”, several pieces of training will be held for vulnerable groups who want to be further educated and prepared for future employment. Through working on oneself, practising communication styles, becoming aware of roles in communication, society or business relationships, practising a foreign language, adopting ways to use one’s strengths or acquiring professional knowledge and skills such as basic computer programs. or presentation and sales skills, more than 30 members of vulnerable groups will have the opportunity for education and personal development.

The training cycle is divided into eight pieces of training, as follows:

EDUCATION 1 – BASIC SKILLS 1

  • Conducts Diopter
  • Venue: Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing of the Istrian County
  • Date: 02.05.2022. from 2pm to 6pm
  • Quality communication is one of the key success factors, which is why Basic skills 1 education consists of getting to know each other, presenting and introducing the basic rules of inter and intrapersonal, verbal and non-verbal, and written and oral communication. Special attention is paid to differentiating communication levels, choosing the appropriate communication channel and respecting the communication space. The central theme of the first education is business etiquette, ie a set of generally accepted rules of conduct that is based on social norms and are an important segment of the business culture of each person.

EDUCATION 2 – ENGLISH

  • Conducted by Irene Rigo
  • Venue: premises of the Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing of the Istrian County (Anticova 5, Pula)
  • Dates: Mon, Wed and Fri from 5 pm to 7 pm (09.05.-27.05.2022)
  • It is intended for students who want to master the basic/initial level of English language skills or improve the already acquired basic knowledge of English. Participants will learn English through all 4 language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing, and at the same time acquire basic knowledge of grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary and functional language for everyday use. Likewise, for those who are preparing for a business career or who are already working to improve their English language skills in a business environment – participants will hone their language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) in a business context.

EDUCATION 3 – SOFT SKILLS

  • Conducted by Sanja Subotic
  • Venue: premises of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of the Istrian County (Keršovanijeva 35, Pula)
  • Dates: Tue, Thu from 10 am to 12 noon (10.05.-24.05.2022.)
  • Soft skills are necessary to create a positive and functional work environment, and participants will adopt them through work on general topics of communication, and its concepts. Furthermore, participants will become aware of the roles and techniques of listening and will work on raising awareness of their strengths and raising self-confidence. All of the above will be practically practised through workshops and other various simulations.

EDUCATION 4 – BASIC SKILLS 2

  • Conducts Diopter
  • Venue: Association of the Blind of the Istrian County (Zadarska 32, Pula)
  • Date: 13.05.2022. from 8 am to 12pm
  • Basic skills 2 education consists of topics related to the art of active listening, understanding and reflection on individual learning styles and processes. It will also cover the rules, types, as well as advantages and disadvantages of written and oral business communication. Participants will have the opportunity to review their and their colleagues’ presentation skills, exchange experiences and critically look at examples from practice – business communication situations. The emphasis of education is on the importance of teamwork and empathy, and one of the key topics is time as a guiding factor in any communication process.

EDUCATION 5 – INFORMATICS

  • Venue: Diopter
  • Date: 26.05.2022. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • The emphasis of the education will be on basic computer literacy, word, excel program, databases, social networks, etc. All to empower participants in the labour market.

EDUCATION 6 – BUSINESS SKILLS

  • Conducts Diopter
  • Venue: Association of the Blind of the Istrian County (Zadarska 32, Pula)
  • Date: 31.05.2022. from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • At the end of May, education is held in the Association of the Blind of the Istrian County, which is dedicated to business skills. Expert associate Diopter – Open University Pula will teach participants good organization, prioritization, delegation, reporting, division of labour and timeline activities.

EDUCATION 7 – PRESENTATION SKILLS

  • Conducts Diopter
  • Venue: Association of Cerebral Palsy of the County of Istria (Rojc)
  • Date: 01.06.2022. from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Diopter’s expert associate will teach the participants public speaking, speaking skills and making presentations.

EDUCATION 8 – SALES SKILLS

  • Conducts Diopter
  • Venue: Association of Cerebral Palsy of the County of Istria (Rojc)
  • Date: 02.06.2022. from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Participants in the training will have the opportunity to learn about direct and online sales and the skills needed for a good salesperson.
